We went up there tonight and its been smoothed. I think they should just pave it cause it was stupid. they didnt touch iron clads or the playground so thats about all the coold stuff up there....oh the plain crash!

I always assumed Bunce was an easy dirt road anyways from read the trip reports and the TrailDamage report on it?

Yeah...I thought it was always just a dirt road. All the parts I've seen of it, I could take a 2WD car through there.
Was it different from the last time you saw it?
The only part I can think of where I'd need to steer funny on a 2WD sagwagon would be the rocks leading away from the school entrance. Did they nerf that or something?

Yea - it was pretty easy, but there were some minor rough/rocky sections.
Russell - Are you saying it was smoothed by a machine/road grader?

They graded it! it was starting to get fun :(

They graded it because some people own private land here and there and they either paid to have it graded or convinced the forest circus to grade it - OR - the land owners in cahoots with the USFS graded it to reduce the 4x4 traffic - if the road is "no fun" then word will get out and wheelers won't use it. That is so LAME!
