:saw: I smell an IFS getting torched...Tube the rear and keep that $. My grandpa's dodge bedside was just replaced at $3600 so you might want to go down to stadium auto body and let them check it out. Might get a little more money that way. But yea hopefully the guys from performance offroad in jonesboro are gonna get together with us next sunday and wheel up a the gravel pits. Hope to see you there, if you can get off give me a shout and we'll get you directions and all.

OK, guess I'll be looking hard at next weekend...I think I'm supposed to be out of town...now I'm wishing even more that I had gone to Hot Springs last weekend!!!
Even if I don't get to go next weekend, I want to get to meet you folks. I met Muddemon (I think) at the football game in Trumann a weekend ago, but it was a very quick conversation.

Fellow 4 wheelers in NE Arkansas...There is a trip planned to Land Between the Lakes (LBL) for next weekend, 11-1 thru 11-4. The OHV area at LBL is called Turkey Bay. The group is from the new 4x4 shop in Jonesboro, Performance Offroad, 3610 Stadium Dr., Jonesboro, AR 72404 (870)336-0707...Brad or Jeff.
I understand they have (tentatively) about 15 or so vehicles at the present. I'm headed up there on Friday AM if not Thursday PM.

Even though it's deer season, anybody got some interest in getting together between now and Christmas for some local wheeling? I'm thinking about somewhere within an hour's drive or so ... perhaps over to Coon Creek (Dyersburg) even ... What say, ya'll out there? Let's get NEA together.

I'd love to but with christmass on the way I may be grounded. I have to try to raise the money to get a new rear R&P in my truck too couse I have a heavy foot. If I get it fixed I will have to give a shout out to ya for a local run.

So how'd your trip go with the Jonesboro 4wd shop guys go? Are there any challenging trails, or obistacles at coon creek, for a extreeme built toyota?

I can understand trying to build up some extra scratch money. Luckily for me, my rig ain't extreme built and I know it. I'm a whole lot better at not breaking stuff than I am at fixing stuff....

The trip I took w/ J'boro Offroad Extreme bunch was really good. That was in Kentucky at LBL Turkey Bay ( http://www.lbl.org/OHVTrails.html ). There was some pretty wild stuff there. The majority of the stuff was "3" trials, but there was some very nasty hill climbs and a couple of very serious gravel/rock pits. I saw a Sammy go seat deep in a little mud hole, hydro-locked the motor. I heard another Sammy explode a front diff. I watched a very cool buggy built w/ Rockwells and a 350 do a near vert hill climb ... yea, overall it was a cool trip. I got to know some of those folks, mostly just plain folks having a good time ridin' trials.

On the Coon Creek ( http://www.ccorv.com/ ) report, I haven't had a chance to run those trails yet. I did stop by and locate their park in Dyersburg. As best as I can tell, there is some of everything, but evidently there are a couple trials that don't have a name yet. They tell me they haven't been climbed. The J'boro 4wd shop gang is headed over there on 11/25, it's "Toys 4 Tots" get in free (still pay insurance I'm sure). My plan is to load ole' Clampy and Head East...see ya' there?

I'll be hard pressed to have my rig back together by then. Have a good time, and get some pics! :)

Don't look like I'm gonna' make this local trip. With greater than 75% chance of rain & aftering being out of the house all week deer hunting & Thankxgiving...Daddy has to do some home time. I haven't talked to any of the Extreme Offroad folks, but there will probably be plenty of people at Toys for Tots ... later

There's a couple of local wheeling opportunities coming up this weekend (11/30 - 12/2).
Performance Offroad (Jonesboro, AR) is going to the Coon Creek Offroad Park (Dyersburg, TN) 'Toys 4 Tots' run on this weekend. This is a re-schedule due to weather last Sunday. The 'Toys 4 Tots' event gets you in cheaper than usual, as long as you have the appropriate NIB toy. I haven't been on all the trails of this park, but from what I have seen it has something for everybody.

Arkansas Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Association (Arkansas) has scheduled it's 'incorporation meeting' for Saturday (12-1-07) at Union Building, AR Tech. Univ., Ozark, AR. This involves the crazy idea that getting involved would actually make a difference. I'm all in... Following the morning meeting, lunch will be served at Byrd's Adventure Center. That will be followed by a scavenger hunt (1:30 - 4:30). Contact info on this is...Andy's email aguschke@juno.com or Byrd's Adventure Ctr. @ 479.667.4066

Ya'll come, I'll be somewhere....
