Butcher Run 9/2

Well I'm trying to get a pretty good group going this time, the plan is to go do our runs and maybe hit up the first or second cove to do some cooling off, and if anyone wants to hit up comp. or any others while we're there feel free :) I plan on meeting at the Walgreens on Power and I believe its McKelips its just north of the 202 at around 8:00am or earlier, whatever works with you guys. I know that other times its usually later but its been getting too hot lately and I dont want to be out there all day. So just let me know who all wants to go, so far its me and my buddy with his FJ and I'm sure some of the group from last time will be out too :cool:

Well the last one was about 3 hours or so. We can make is longer or shorter, whatever works for everyones schedule. I guess you can say its a stock friendly run, there are spots were you need at least a locker, but there are ways around most of it.

Yes sir, we will stop by either one of the coves for some swimming. make sure you bring your bathing suit :)

Brian the responses for this run isn't looking good. We had a better response for the second run we did.

In our travels this weekend, I was out at Blue Point on the Saguaro Lake Rd. On our way back north, I saw an area called "Rolls OHV Park"... It looked like a lot of trails, and I don't have a trail map, so I can only assume it's a good spot. Is this where you guys have been going? I'll have to get a trail map, so I know more of the spots.

We were kind of in a rush to get back... but not that big of a rush. I saw a Jeep coming down the trail, so I assumed taking my truck up there was O.K. Needless to say, we made a short detour just to get a little off-road fix... could be a lot more fun, with more people!

thats one of the ways to go to butcher jones,4 peaks and the lake they all are linked uped. I have used it when butcher is closed:rolleyes:

ya, I believe that is the second entrance after butcher. there are some pretty fun little trails back in there.

I was out there last night until around 7:30 or so messing around cove 1 & 2. Might go out on the other side of the highway today.
