log coral sept 8th-ish

so guys from work are hooked now. they want to do log coral the weekend after labor day weekend. pretty easy run, one rocky spot, but the rest of the trail is maybe a 2-2.5(?) good stock truck run. it is overgrown pretty bad in spots. should still be hot, so bring your trunks and go for a dip in the lake after playing on the dunes. will go out other side and cross the river, and come out at barlett lake marina.
maybe camp out over night at the lake if anybody else is interested?

Depends upon your driving experience and truck setup - sliders might be needed for that one rocky area, but otherwise you should be okay.

is it really rocky enough for sliders? I've got a tundra with a leveling kit and bigger tires. no lockers or anything. If thats good enough I should be in.

How skinny does it get? I've got my fair share of pin stripping but I don't want to get anything too deep, still a DD :)

there is one rock that hangs people up. it dosent look like much, can be tricky if no lockers. ive been on trips with stock (open) trucks have made it, i dont think there was any body damage. if you volunteer to help some body out with a tug over the rock you may want sliders just cause its kinda loose after the big rock. other than that section its easy, lots of stuff to mess around on. had a freind take his full size dodge truck through the whole trail with no damge or concerns

Hmmm, well I'm always willing to try almost any trail :) If worst comes to worst and I cant make it, then I can always turn around. But if your friend made it through with a full size dodge! I have to do it now :rolleyes:

im probably going to take my red junker that has a winch, so i may just position my self to give anybody a little tug thats needs it so nothing gets torn up for no reason
