I just finished the second installment of my expedition through the Sierra Madre Occidental and the barrancas. We drove over 270 miles of dirt tracks, traversing three of the major canyon systems. The team consisted of two Toyota's, a UZJ100 Land Cruiser (http://www.expeditionswest.com/vehicles/adventurepartners/Doron/doron100.html), and my 2004 Tacoma Double Cab (http://www.expeditionswest.com/vehicles/ewvehicles/tacoma/index.html)

Read the trip report (http://www.expeditionswest.com/adventures/2004/sierra_madre/journey_two.html) In addition to lost of pictures, the trip report also contains several videos, including the ford at the Rio Urique.

I hope to have part three finished soon, which details our trek from Cerocahui through the sub-tropical zone, all the way to the Sea of Cortez.
