Wheeling:
Friday - Seems like this is the day most are getting there. Some will be there already and wheeling with Glen. I'd say this is a "explore on your own/buddy up if you wish" day for those not going to Ross, but we can surely have leaders.
---> Glen will lead those wanting to wheel the Ross Foundation in Bismarck on Friday.
---> Maybe we can get a night run going, or explore Hot Springs that evening.
Saturday - I'd like to have 2-3 groups of people w/ trail leaders if we can. Looks like we're going to have lots of moderate rigs there, so we probably need at least 2 groups of those. Then there can be a hardcore group for folks like the Mammoths and gittinit (but I still want to watch them do things like Winch Hill, Concrete Hill, etc.).
---> We will start wheeling around 9:00
---> We'll break for lunch around 1-2.
---> Call it a day around 7.
---> Have dinner around 7:30, and the drawing around 8.
---> The rest of the night can be spent doing the usual campfire stuff, and maybe an adventure on the town if there enough interest.
Sunday - maybe get some groups together again, or just play it by ear. Most are leaving this day.
Volunteers:
Friday -
---> Someone to lead at Ross. (Glen)
---> Someone to lead at Superlift. (various unknown people, ???)
---> Someone to greet folks and make them feel welcome. I really want to meet everyone face to face and make them feel like "making the trip to Hot Springs" was worth it. (Josh)
Saturday -
---> Someone to "be the speaker" of the morning, and direct folks to appro. groups/trail leaders. (Josh)
---> Trail leaders for guided rides (???)
---> Someone to "be the speaker" of the dinner, and raffle. (Josh)
---> Someone to sell tickets throughout dinner, and be responsible for the money collected. (Glen's family Sat. ??? on Friday if needed)
---> Someone to take a wheeling break and go get the dinner from the BBQ place (maybe they can deliver it?). And someone to call in the order.
---> Someone to sell AR-TTORA stickers. (Lance and Josh)
Sunday -
---> Someone to lead trails if required. (???)
---> People to make sure the campsites are picked up and clean (one of the last folks to leave on Sunday needs to do a quick check as well). (???)
Raffle:
As of now here's how the raffle will work:
---> Tickets are $1 each, 6 for $5.
---> There will be separate pots/buckets for the big items, and one general all-purpose pot/bucket to draw the smaller items from.
---> After all big items are claimed, the leftover tickets will be dumped into the big general pot/bucket, and tickets will be drawn from there for the smaller prizes.
---> There is no limit on how many tickets you can buy!
Big items with separate pots -
---> Four tires donated by Pit Bull Tires (up to 35") :eek:
---> One set of tube doors OR one set of sliders donated and fabricated by Michael Faber (aka gittinit) :)
---> One set of standard sliders donated and fabricated by Paul Henney (aka newman99) :cool:
---> One front bumper OR one rear bumper OR one tire carrier/rack donated and fabricated by Darrell "Jake" Jacob (aka Oddmar) ;)
Smaller items drawn from one large pot -
---> Schwag and goodies from Pit Bull Tires
---> Schwag and goodies from Warn
---> AR-TTORA stickers
---> TEQ stickers
---> Who knows??
Other info:
Hot Springs has an AutoZone, O'reilly, Advance Auto Parts, and Bumper to Bumper (in case you break something :) )
This is our first real event as the Arkansas Chapter of TTORA. Some of this is "fly by the seat of our pants", so bear with us as we try to make this a great event for everyone.
Thanks, Josh :)
