Can Someone Tell Me What The Stock Gear Ratio Is For A 85 Toyota REAR END

4.10 to 4.56 i beleive what does the tag on the door sticker sa? under axle will be a 3 to 4 didgit code then you can search the interweb to find it. toyota changed the coding late 80s. post up if you want some help deciphering

The tag is not on the door jamb like the newer trucks, its on the firewall. Also its stamped metal, but does have all the same info...

Mark your pinion and rear tire then count the number of turns the dshaft makes to complete one tire revolution, this should give you a good idea. 4 an alittle 4.10, 4 and alittle more 4.30, 4 and a half or alittle more 4.56.

is your trany auto or 5 speed. a guy told me 456 gears only came in the auto im 91% shure you have 4.10s unless they have been changed out
