Not really an event, but it fits better here than anywhere else. I took my brother on his first trails. He usually just splashes around in the mud of Oklahoma, but now he's hooked I think. We rode on a few trails just southwest of Cassville, MO. It took forever to find them, but it was worth it. Not incredibly hardcore stuff, but I was impressed with some of the rock ledges we were going up.

Looks like we're going back for my birthday. I turn 21 Friday, Oct. 26 :xbeer2: and get to go riding on Sunday. :driving: It'll probably be a long weekend! Anyone that wants to join is welcome. We'll have 3 trucks going as it is right now.

Dude, I was in Mark Twain on Sunday as well. I took my kids to Roaring River and took a small detour on the way through part of Mark Twain. Looked like there were some 4 wheeler trails out there? Might have to see what it takes to ride a wheeler in the park? :D :D

I've been wanting to follow somebody on the trails there for a while. Sucks you guys are going the weekend of the 26th. I'll be in Iowa. I got a map of that region of MTNF and tried to find the good trails but had no luck even with a map. I just recently moved here from Iowa so I don't know sh#t. I'd like to run over there with you guys sometime if you want to go again in Novermber? Casville is only about 45 min. from my house in BV so it would be nice to get to know some trails (and local Yots).

The trails we were on were off of FR197(road sign says FR2275?) which is between Seligman and Roaring River. There's supposed to be some more northeast of the park too. Most of the trails ended up as dead ends or 4wheeler trails though, so you have to constantly turn around and backtrack everything. FR1045 and 1045A was what had all of the rock ledges and there's a big parking lot type area for people with trailers, so it shouldn't be a problem riding a 4wheeler out there. I think you have to have a permit though.

I'd meet up with you for the 26th, but thats the weekend of rocktoberfest. any other weekend, let me know if you want company, im always lookin for more wheelin buddies.

Thanks domino. Let's plan a trip for November. Disney, OK is deffinately a place I want to hit again also. Steel bumpers and sliders are highly recommended for Disney though. Save my sheet metal more than once. :D

MTNF is free!!!! Rocktoberfest to wheel, is 75 for non members, 50 for members; and i believe 10 to spectate. Any other weekend Byrds is around 10 bucks, IIRC..... the trails i wanted to make sure you guys new about were the mary cole ridge and 1045. both those areas have some good trails.
