Every once in a while i find something that redefines what it means to be an idiot. It's something that just leaves no doubt what-so-ever that this individual is a certifiable idiot. My current proof is people that think it is cool to spend good money putting super low profile tires on four wheel drive vehicles and trucks. Today I saw a set on an H3 with the open spook chrome wheels and the whole deal.

Am I being too judgmental?

Poseurs. Bling. It is irritating. We'll have to wait until SUVs are no longer popular.

Since 99% of SUV's never even see a dirt road, let alone a "trail", why be hatin' the playas that optimize their ride for the actual usage? :D

Wait til winter...I bet most of them find "convenient off-street parking" at the first snowstorm.

low pros+small wheels are fun for smoking with low range gearing.

as previously mentioned...

they'll find out why their 4x4 didnt come equipped with low pros the first time it snows.

What i think is worse then the low pro fad, is the pickup/suv crap with every stick on accessory imaginable, wheels with little, no, or positive backspacing, and tires stretched to fit the wide rim. Its hilarious watching these types of vehicles try to get around in the snow though

Correct - and it's these rigs that make for a nice, seldom-abused used car that can be turned into a wheeler.

But I agree - I can't stand the look.

I think some 20" bling rims look cock. Simply from an automotive art standpoint. Wheels are big part of how a car looks. You can shape wheels make them flashy. Tires have limited ability to be molded into something cool. Granted they make some cool looking tires. But they don't catch your eye like the flash of a rim does. If the wheel is art and expression make the canvas bigger. The bigger the rim the more possibilities for the Machinest/artist to make more radical designs. Just my take.:D

But I dig what you are saying.

It's just that when you see an F150 with the LoPros and big wheels with a chrome gas cap cover - it seems more like some dip with more money than brains (and not much of either) trying to get layed than auto art, if you know what I mean.

Yup there's alot of tools out there trying to get laid. But when you do see a classy example of lo pros give im props. Just think you can't drive a 9 second street car w/slicks down an icy road but it's cool as well. 4Xs are just a piece of the automotive pie.:)

I saw a H2 with 30s or 36s on it, wheels that is! They looked like chrome wagon wheels. May be one of the dumbest things I've seen. Wait there was something dumber than that a H2 SUT with the big rig chrome air wing mounted in the bed.
