I think the teeth on my window crank are striped, I can roll the window almost all the way up to about 3" from the top then it just slips so I push it up with my hands, but if any vibration happens it will fall back down. I have had this problem with every Toyota I have owned 2 1st gen & 3 2nd gen pickups. what makes these window crank systems fail so often. These gears seem to be weak so is there any way to fix them stronger, I don't want to fix theme with stock parts if they are prone to failure. any suggestions would help thnx

Like they told you on Marlins Board the gear in the regulator gets loose and skips, the regulator is made of steel. You get a new one on www.partstrain.com, Drivers side for $20 and passenger side for $10.

im going to atempt replacing the regulator. 10$ on parts train, thanks for the site toyguy86 :kewl: but I hear its a pain so I might get mad enough at it to take you up on that offer, I dont like taking things 4 free so if it comes to it we'll have to come up with trade of some kind
