okay. so i went cruising around to try and find some hidden trails here. in jacksonville that is. and well i didn't come up with shit.
so is there anything i can go and play on. any mud to just get a little dirty with. ANYTHING...seriously there has to be something around here?

Actually if you look real hard, in between JAX and St Aug on phillips, there are a few TINY spots off the side of the road were could get dirty. Literally though, all your going to be able to do is back in and spin your tires a bit. Just make the drive down to ocala. Its well worth it most of the time! :kewl:

i want the exact opposite of what u want. i want trails that are fun with some dirt, rocks(florida, yeah right) but no mud. i'm lovin it now with no mud. its just really dusty. i have fun goin with all my chevy and ford buddies and ride or watch them mud. but mud just aint for me. too much cleanin up, and my truck needs to be reliable for the next 8 years until i can afford another one. haha.

also, there are places to go, people just prefer not to tell anyone because they dont want it to become crowded and closed down, everything around here is iilegal anyway.

I've lived in Jax 28 years now... anywhere that you could ride is closed, trees cut down and P.O.S. houses built on them. All of my hunting and fishing spots are GONE... You can get lucky and find a trail here and there in the outskirts of Jax, but it's 99% illegal. Driving an hour or so down to Ocala or west to Oceola is your best bet. Or take a trip north over the border... Georgia? I was checking out a few clubs in the panhandle and Ft. Walton and Destin have a few nice spots but that's like 6 hrs away... it's closer to drive to one of the off road parks... Sorry to be the bad news guy... it's just how it's gotten here. Check out in Clay county near the Clay Hill area... still under developed and lots of woods and state forest land, or out US 90 west toward Pope Duval FMA... That is one of the main reason's I haven't SAS-ed my truck yet...

i have been trying to find some places in this shit hole town too. everyone on this site likes to drive over rocks and crap. not that its dumb, just not for me, i like mud as well. i have found a place that had some decent mud, i almost got stuck so i backed out because i dont know anyone in this town with a truck. so if you want to get together someday after work, ill take you to where it is and we can check it out. i dont think its illegal, there was no sign where i went in so thats my story and im sticking to it haha, hit me up if your interested

All we have around here is mud. We couldn't find a rock to crawl over if we wanted to. If you want to go play in the mud you will have to come down for the day or weekend and we will take you out to play.

It's everywhere. Go out to ONF-Richloam-Lakeland-Ocala the list can go on. There is WAY MORE then enough mud in this state. My runner comes back almost everytime covered in it. It's really not hard to find. It's harder to find places with out it. Mud sucks, but living in FL there really is not much eles.

oceola national forest is about 35-40 minutes west of jax near lake city... there is a ton of mud and water crossings out there after a good rain. Some were over 36" deep. Get a map or GPS because it is HUGE and lots of roads... especially on the portion north of I-10. There are even marked trails for 4x4's. They are only good after a decent rain though. It's a fun place to explore.

I'm going to do my very best to either A- Ocala forest or B- hard rock this Sunday if I have the truck ready. So if any trail guys or mud guys want to join let me know I'm going to try an leave in the early morning and we can meet up a the publix on blanding in middleburg
