This is the easiest way, so that I can keep track of things...If you trust me, which I don't really think there is any reason you shouldn't...but if you're not comfortable with that, then this is your second option:
Call Susan Wall at 303-892-7003. Tell her your name, and that you are with the January 26th TTORA group. From there, you can give her your credit card number, or arrange other forms of payment.
***IF YOU DO THIS, LET ME KNOW THAT YOUR DEPOSIT IS IN, SO THAT I CAN ACCOUNT FOR YOU!***

Molly and I are interested.
General Air has classes. I would start with calling them. See if they do it all locations, or just the main one downtown, and see if we get enough people if we can have a class to ourselves.
http://www.generalair.com/saturday.htm
I would propose that we want a "Basic MIG" course

I have a few other tricks I'll try later...

Yup - try general air, and also wagner welding in longmont. I say late january ealry feb is ideal.

I'll see if I can scrounge up some of my welding gear when I go home. I have a couple of hoods, gloves, chipper. If I was taking my truck home I'd just bring my old Lincon round top back with me. Anyone could use that thing anytime. I dare you to break it.lol And one person deffinetly couldn't steal it without a crane. I would like to see Becca take the class. I think it might be a little remedial for me but I'd like to go just to maybe learn a few tricks.
Another good investment is the Haynes Welding Manual. That, high school ag class, old friend Tom, and my Grandpa taught me everything I know about welding.

Does the local community college offer vocational technology classes?
Or is there a vo-tec school in the area?
Back home the community college had a good 3 week course that covered welding theory, brazing, hands on arc, mig, tig, welding out of position ect

Here's the plan. Saturday January 26th at General Air in Denver, from 8-noon. I need a $25 deposit from all of you ASAP. You have 2 options. Either you can call General Air, and ask for Susan Wall, and tell them your name, and that you are part of the January 26th TTORA group, and give them your credit card number. OR...you can write a check for $25 made out to General Air, and I will personally deliver them to General Air. More details later, I need to go...

I forgot to ask if General Air has requirements, but closed toe shoes (steel toes would be best, but if you have them, you probably know that) and natural fiber clothes (long sleeves/long pants) are always a good idea when working around hot metal.
(The reason you don't wear sythetic like nylon, rayon, polyester, etc is because it could melt into the wound. By comparison, your cotton clothes being on fire is preferable)

Afterwards, I have reservations at the Brewery Bar down the street for us. Everybody is welcome to come, whether you are taking the welding class or not. We're looking at 12:30 for the time on that. Had a good time and learned some stuff.
Thanks to QuickDraw for putting this together (and I owe you lunch) and thanks to Hank and Jay for spotting me out of the parking lot.

Sorry about the dark spots - seems the hood for the UV/polarizing filter may have blocked the flash. Will have to remember that in the future.

Nice pics. Good to see everyone else doing their thing. I pretty much stayed in my bay working my skill and didn't see much of everyone elses work. Nice to see we have some artists in the crew. Can't wait to get my weld on.
