Nope, I don't know much about the area, but all my g/f's friends up there only talk about muddin. And usually those are in illegal places...if it means anything to ya ;) I think i remember someone no here saying around that near the base there used to be some trails, but I'm not positive.

Also you can try checking out some of the managment areas up there. Blue Water Creek, Escambia River, and Blackwater are some of the ones close to there. Blackwater is about 200,000 acres so you should have plenty to check out.
Oh, and welcome to TTORA!

Thanks Guys,

Yeah you know I have a young CPL that works with me. He has family out near black water. We went up there and did some squirrel hunting once. I might have to get him to take me back up there.

I've been a member for awhile just never did the activation piece.

What does everyone think about the TRD Superchargers? URD Fuel Kit? URD 7th injector Kit?

Jason

The guys over at Enhanced OffRoad on 29 are real helpful with all those questions. Guy working there rolls a Taco with a Super Charger, said it was alot of $$ which in hind site would have spent else where. Also said Englin AFB had some shit to get into. Best of luck

You will have to purchase a rec pass at the Jackson Guard Office located on HWY 85 in Niceville in order to ride on the Eglin Air Force Base Reservation. They will give a map and all the regulations are on the back. Just so you know you have to stay on all numbered roads and out of the claypits, if you are cought in those or any other restricted areas they will fine you. Trust me Ive bin fishing, camping and wheeling on "The Res" most of my life and they really mean business.

I've seen pics of a cruiser club out that way in some crazy fun looking sand pits with climbs and stuff... Check around on some of their sites if no one speaks up around here about anything.

that would be me....feel free to stop in the shop and ask questions at any time M-F. As far as trail riding, Emerald Coast Jeepers does alot of stuff at McDavid and some Eglin stuff. Of course, they have jeeps  . But eglin is pretty much the main wheeling spot around here and your gonna have to drive at least an hour to get to anywhere good out there. Blackwater, well i wouldnt go there, NOTHING of any fun is legal at blackwater. At both Eglin and Blackwater you need to make sure to follow the rules or you will deffinitely get busted. I myself havent been out wheeling since like December 07 because i have 5.29s in the back and 4.10s in the front still, but my SAS is happening in August so by the end of the year i hope to take it out.

As far as your supercharger question..is it worth it? uh maybe. is it fun/badass? yes. Could I have spent the 5k on my SAS and been alot happier? yes. so i guess its all up to what you want to do, i dont regret doing it but its not going to be a race car or anything lol. In a way i wish i still had a stock motor so i could beat the hell out of it wheeling and not worrying about it leaning out or what not
