This is a copy of my post from the main board. But you get the idea.

"I just replaced the front and rear O2 sensors on my supercharged 2001 Tacoma. They are both NGK 4 wire universal O2 sensors. Black wires are heater wires, Blue is signal, White is ground. At least that is how I have it hooked up. My truck now throws P1135 as well. I have heard you can move the stock rear O2 sensor to the front location to get by a little longer, but that leads me to believe my truck uses O2 sensors front and rear rather than one A/F and one O2 sensor. Can someone tell me for certain if it uses an A/F or an O2 sensor in the front?"

The front sensor is an Air/fuel ratio sensor that the computer uses to make corrections to the timing and amount of fuel injected. So if it goes bad then your truck will run horrible.

I also have an 01 S/C 3.4 and mine throws a P1135 code. It does not effect performance or drive ability. mine showed up after I removed/replaced my exhaust to do some work on it. Has been popping up ever week or so with no rhyme or reason.

It might be that you have the heater circuit wrong or different gauge wire and is sending the wrong signal back to the computer.

some more reading.

I would put the stock one back in in the front A/F sensor. Or get a new one from Toyota or Napa. It is not an O2 sensor like the rear.

Double check your connections to see if there is anything loose, or loosing contact. But yes, front is AFR and the rear is simply a cat efficiency sensor and will not effect the drivability of the truck. Price them out and you will soon realize why the front one is so much more expensive.

yeah.... i put matching brand new o2 sensors in it. Now I need to buy an A/F sensor for the front. Any one have part numbers?
