Dump your pics and stories here.

I've got a bunch to post, and will when I get a chance. It was a blast! I didn't break anything, but there was quite a bit of carnage.

:) :) :)

Here's what I got. A few good ones of you in the mix Josh. That 82 is pretty impressive. I'll have to make a trip down to Super Lift sometime this spring. Hopefully have disc brakes on my 40 by then.

Wade, nice to meet you. Glad you came. Sorry we had to camp at the Rover Camp. Next time we'll coordinate a little more. :D Let's get a Disney trip planned for April or so.

As for the carnage, There were 3 broken ring/pinions (2 were FJC's), a broken inner yoke on a D44 SAS'd Tacoma, and a busted birf. 3 of those things we found during our night run, and we kept finding broken rigs. I also heard that someone rolled it on the "driveway" to Old Camp.

The weather was beautiful, other than the insane cold at night. It got down to the low 20's both nights.

Here's my album of pics. I took a lot more, but didn't upload all of them (similar dupes, boring pics, etc.): http://picasaweb.google.com/dotnofoolin/2008LoneStarToyotaJamboree

That 4Runner belong to a guy named Carlos, and the guy standing there is named Chad. They are from Houston. They were camping near us at the Rover Camp, and we decided to tag along since they wanted to break things.

Hey Wade, nice pics. It was great to meet and wheel with you in Texas. We need to try and plan some kind of run to Disney or Clayton sometime in April. I'm sure, over the next few weeks, Josh and I will put our planning hats on and start a thread.

Later,
Lance

Damn Josh, thats a cool picture of your truck. What trail is that on, it looks like twister. Sucks I missed out on this trip, looks like it was alot of fun. You and Lance planning anything for February or March??

Good to meet you guys to. Josh, you are the Chuck Norris of Wheeling.
I'm thinking end of March camping/wheeling at Disney. I know my way around there pretty well and the wheeling is superb. Best thing is it's free. You guys down for this? Say......March 28th-30th? That would be the weekend after easter and the first week of Spring. Let me know. I'm down for anything.

Yep, that was on Twister. The other parts of Twister are fun, too. We'll probably hit the Hot Springs park on Saturday, March 1 for the Manager's Run. And we're going to get something together for Disney, OK in March/April. See below.

Thanks! I'm nothing like Steven Seagal though.

Those dates sound pretty good for now. I don't see a problem with 'em.

Sweet! I like the sound of late March. Where exactly is Disney? Just curious.

Disney is basically right across the border into Oklahoma. It's worth the drive from Little Rock for sure. Basically you take 40W to Fort Smith and then take 540N to Fayetville and it's not too far from there.

dont forget the Razorback Ramble will be in June

Glen,
You plan to be at the Ramble again this year? I'm going!! This would be my third straight year.
For you guys that have kids, this is a great event for them as well. This bunch is about the middle of the road on the crazy scale w/ some over-acheivers & some conservatives. I have taken my son each year. He started going when he was 7 yrs old. First year we brought everything, go-cart, bicycles, and truck. Last year he begged me to let him drive the truck...so he sat in my lap and did a couple of "trails". This year we're gonna' bring everything again ... anything w/ a motor.

Great pics. I think I only got a chance to meet Wade. I would have loved to take a look at that early 79-81 pickup. Where were you guys camped at? Most of us from TX TTORA were camped in Old Camp to the far back.

First look at your Chapeter website; looking good.

We camped at Rover Camp because the office told us OC was too full. Later we went to find Wade at OC and found plenty of room. Oh well.

There was plenty of room. We had a good camp fire and firewood to spare. It was a good trip and perfect weather to be out there.
Ya'll stay tuned for dates on our TX TO coming up this year. We are going to get a head start on surveying parks and scouting for sponsors.
Halloween run we still probably be at Gilmer to keep the tradition going.

Edit: BTW here is the link to our picture thread at Gilmer:
