...for you NV folk... I was once a part of this chapter a few years ago when it was still in the Delphi stage... And then I moved to NM..In the time I have been here my rig has gone through many changes.
Well, I'll be moving back to Vegas in a month or so and I would like to know if there are any folks that run the more 'hardcore' trails in this chapter anymore..
From what I've seen of this (new)
board it seems as if the chapter has turned to 'moderate' 'wheeling (at best)that includes every type of 'wheeler besides the SFA guys that want to hit extreme trails and whoop on their shit like they where sponsored....Which is a good thing for sure, as that is what our sport is all about!! Everyone needs to 'wheel what they feel comfortable with and enjoy themselves doing so..
Sooooo.... My question is..... Is there anybody in this chapter that still runs "the extreme stuff" ? Or should I just go ahead and leave now before I offend someone becuase this chapter has changed so much???

BTW: A small group of us will be headed to the SCTTORA JV event leaving on March 27th from Vegas if anyone wants to caravan..

A few of us have new toys that can handle the "rougher" stuff. But still learning the ways of the new toys...And getting braver..:)
Alot of the guys here also have very new trucks, and aren't ready to kill them. (thats why I'm selling the 03 and bought an 85 runner.)

I would agree with Jeff and I'm doing the same right now also...selling the 05 tacoma and have a "new toy" 85 4-runner...so I'm game, looking forward to hooking up with you!!!
Have a safe trip back!!!

There has been alot of change in the chapter in last couple of years. Most of the guys do use their daily drivers for off-roading (me included). So most of us are not out trying everything under the sun. But there are few of the hardcore guys left and some of us are getting rigs to handle that type of offroading.

We would be more than happy to you go wheeling with us. There are few other clubs in the vegas valley area that cater to the hardcore types, Total Karnage, Vegas Valley 4wheelers are a couple and they are both yota friendly.

Thanks for the replies fella's! Should be back it town and ready for a shakedown run (trying to finish phase... Three... I think.. of my build) second week of March at the latest.

Yeah, I've already introduced myself on the TK board, and 'wheeled with some of those folks at this years (actually last, '07) H&B. I guess I was just curious as to whom was around this chapter that still ran the harder trails, as I have noticed a change in the members since Jeff left as president. Thank you for the info.

Yes... Yes sir I am!! That looks like a couple pics I've seen from Area 52. The first pic looks like it may be "Roc Doc's" rig, (Sorry I don't know his name)...Correct? Is the other Toy yours? I really want to run those trails!!
I noticed you're on the TK board as well.. Do you 'wheel with them alot?

Your welcome, most of the people that where in the chapter when Jeff was president have moved on to other clubs or no clubs at all. Jeff still hangs around the board.

Right-on! Looks like fun, and a capable Jeep you got there! I now have a bit better idea of how things have changed in the 'wheelin scene since I've been gone, and know where I stand.

Thanks for all the imput fella's, and I'll see some of you guys on the trails!!

It hasn't changed all that much. The operative thing that we all share, is a love of getting outdoors with some cool ass people, and play around in the rocks and dirt.

Don't not go on runs with us because you think that we're not hardcore enough.
I'll push my034runner pretty hard, and will do most anything.....within reason.
I'm obviously not going to attempt that Area 52 big ass fucking rock drop, like on those pictures, but will dig watching you take it on. :driving: :kewl: :missingto

We have people of all abilities here, from the newbs, to the extreme experienced like yourself, Jeff, Jeff, Tim, etc.....

We are doing Tie Rod on Feb 10th. if your shit is ready, bring it out. There are plenty of harder obstacles for you, and by-passes for those not so brave or equipped OR experienced.

I like the comfort I get with my034runner, and can use it for most any trail as well as multi day expeditions.
I may get a beater some day too, or, when this is paid off (this year is goal) save up some $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and SAS and cage it!! Can't let all those SAS'd FJ's have all the fun!!! :saw: :welder: :saw: :welder:

Anyway, look forward to meeting and wheeling with you soon!!! :D

Peace!!
Robert :xdevil: :xpimp:

Sorry man, did'nt mean to come off like an ass..
I agree with what you're saying 100%, as stated in my first post...It's all about the sport itself!!!
I'm not above running with anyone, and I'm no a badass by any means...I just like to run really hard trails that gives me a chance to put the countless hours I've spent in the garage, and god knows how much money, to work..
I'll run wich ya'll :missingto ....
I've ran TR a couple times.....Nice mello cruise. The 6' (or so) ledge half way through off the beaten path on the East side is fun, as is the far right side of the rock face at the exit. Devils canyon was fun too, IFS on 32's...... Logandale trail system is a lot of fun too, and I still have a couple of bones to pick with a few obsticals there..
I won't be back in town by the 10th, but I'm thinking Logandale or Area 52 early March would be cool..

No worries bro, you weren't. :D

I just would like all the old timers there are, to hang out, and participate!!

Everyone can contribute, and the more experienced people can inspire some of the new folks that would like to learn more about our ultra expensive  hobby.....er- addiction! :saw:  :saw:

The first weekend of March I'll be at the 46th Annual TDS 4x4 Safari. :driving: :boobies:

It's my 5th trip, big, shit load of people, but still good times!! :xdevil: :xpimp:

We'll get something going in March as well, maybe the third Sunday.

Then in April, it's our 3rd Annual NVTTORA Easter in the Mojave trip. It's generally been a two day (one night) trip, but I would like to see who'd be interested in a three day.

Peace!! :xdevil: :xpimp:

I might be in a jeep but I just like to get out and wheel I dont care if its an easy trail or a hard trail just getting out there and going

the vv4w guys should have a run in logandale about the time you get out here
I do some harder trails but I dont want to mess up my jeep especially since I sold the 4runner and the jeep is now my daily driver

the pics of my jeep are with only one locker

and the big huge rocks like the ledge up above is the reason I like to run with total karnage (as long as there is some go arounds) its cool to see someone do that stuff But I cant afford to break my stuff all the time

Hope to see you on the trails when you get out here

and hopefully I will make it to the tie rod run (But I will have to check out karnage canyon )

I 'wheel with plenty of Geep folks, nothing against them at all. I'll keep up with the VV board and see you on the trails!

14 bolt is almost done
The I need to start in on the 60. I'm trying to relocate to Showlow right now so trying to sell the house and move are taking priority. Once I'm up there the toy will go on jackstand alley ;)

Post the video I missed that one.
