Moab in May?

You folks here prob. know more about Moab then that shitty website of Utahs board! I want to plan a run to Moab with a few fellow wheelers from Vegas. But the question I have is...Does' anyone know if there are any big gatherings in May that we have to avoid? I'm not to sure of the time of the month to go, Any suggestions? You guys, and gals have always lead me in the right direction, just hopeing for some more..:) :)

I'm still planning on hitting some trails with the family in Sept. in CO. :D :D

1st weekend is Cruise Moab, search TLCA Cruise Moab. Its a bunch of Toyota guys and gals. They are very nice people in general.

I have plans to be there the first weekend in May, but didn't sign up for the Cruise Moab. When I checked the site it said it was already booked. I'll be there mountain biking, camping and wheeling though.
