In short, this was my problem.....http://c4x4.com/new_projects/funrunner/media/Tire-stuff.jpg
Now this is my problem....http://a845.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/125/l_2f14109f9af87ca6ed1c438b4c309294.jpg
I thought I would save some money by buying some used fiberglass fenders online for my Gen3 4Runner. So I did. Turns out that the angle of a 4wd corner-lamp and a 2wd corner-lamp are different. I decided I would just pick up some 2wd corner-lamps off of ebay for $10 to fit my new/used 2wd fenders. So I did. Turns out the 2wd corner-lamps, that now fit my fenders, don't fit my old 4wd headlights. So do I buy 2wd headlights hoping that they will fit my 4runner and therefor fit my corner lamps that fit my new used fenders?
I feel like I'm throwing good money after bad. Who has experience mismatching fenders, corners and headlights. What fits with what? Thanks in advance for your help.

are you sure there is a difference between the 2wd 4runner and 4wd 4runner? i could have sworn that the 2wd 4runner was just like the prerunner model taco... same platform and body, just minus the 4wd.
are the taco corners different from the 4runner corners maybe? were those fenders actually specific for the 4runner or are they originally for the taco?

Look like 2wd truck fenders but I'm no expert..

Ive never heard that there was a difference in corner lights. On my 04 4wd I had to grind/ sand the crap out of my Glassworks fenders to get the corner lights to fit. Everyone says Glassworks is the best fit out there, if this is true there is alot of room for improvement.

try some tacoma corners maybe. looking at the hole cutout on your fender and the headlight, it looks just like mine. my corners fit into my fenders. i'll try to snap a picture as an example...

There is for sure a difference. I'm not 100% but I have read theres a difference between 2wd & 4wd. Regardless, the new corners fit the glass the old don't. In a side by side comparison you can see the slight angle difference from the 4Runner corners to the new ones. The new corners wont fit the lights/light bracket. Notice how the 4wd 4runner corners are flat on the backside allowing for them to clear the headlight. http://a325.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/27/l_4dc92dd104d4169a55d172c306a544b4.jpg
The fenders could easily have been made for a Taco. The guy I bought them from had a taco but he bought them off a guy who had them on his 4runner. Ya, these are 3rd person fenders. :o They are actually nice hanamann gel coated and will be up for sale if I can't figure out this jig-saw puzzle.

It looks like you purchased the right glass for your vehicle. In an effort to "save" money I bought taco/2wd glass for my 4wd 4runner and the corners don't match up (completely different angle and mounting of the corner lights).

If anyone wants these I would be happy to sell. They are gel coated & rino lined stamped Hannamann Fiberglass for tacoma. Marker lights included in the sale are modified for 1157 bulb.
