Day Trip???

Is anyone intrested in getting together any time in the near future and going to either Ocala or Osceola. Either a saturday or a sunday in Feb or March. I havent been to either but am intrested in snooping around and finding some fun stuff to play in.

I'm in. Ill drive if I have my truck, if I still have one of my parent's 4Runner's, then ill meet there or tag along and pitch in for gas money. If you want to hustle on over to Gainesville I'm going out with a Yotatech guy in a little while to explore some mud and trails. :D

Mud and trails where, might I ask?

It's Grove Park Wildlife Management Area. Just south and east of Gainesville I believe. Surrounding Lake Lochloosa. We went out and didn't find much- Some pretty deep water, a little mud here and there, etc. We were trying desperately to get a tire off the ground so he could check out his new ARB rear locker, but were unsuccessful :( It wasn't great as far as trails are concerned, but its definitely better than nothing.

Yea man I will. I want to try it too now that the locker is in :xozzy: My limiting factor are the puny 31's im on :rolleyes: Hes a real cool guy and is always looking to wheel, so I'll be sure to pass the word along.

From JAX, citrus is quite a ways- Boston would be much closer, I'm not sure how serious the wheeling you want to do is though. umm, I keep hearing less and less is open in Ocala...

Try and make it down next sunday when we go to citrus if you can. Tell your buddy he is more than welcome to come also. Tell your girlfriend to start bringing her truck out also. I am sure Lee would like to have another chick out wheeling so she isn't the only one.

I'll see what I can do. I'll probably still have the 4Runner and the parents would flip if I took it. That would be cool for Lee and Britt to hang out. Ill see if she can order new leafs before then, otherwise i dont think its a good idea to subject that thing to much more than being onroad with half a spring missing. lol Also ill finally be starting my new job (read:more money for more mods :D ) Tuesday, so we'll see when i can get off.

osceola is retarded, unless u like a whole bunch of water crossings. i haven't been to ocala yet, but i heard the only good thing there is hard rock. there are a ton of hill climbs and downhills there. theres some vids on youtube of a nissan group going. looks like its worth the 25 to get in, i may be takin a trip down there either this month or next month.

Haha yup. Thats the one. On a hot day with the windows rolled up the smell still brings back memories.

And since Osceola is all watercrossings ^^ I will not be using my vehicles there lol. I'll be glad to ride along though! :p

Lets firm up a day and time and figure out where were going and whos tagging along. I say Saturday would be best (leaving time to clean rigs on sunday). How about meeting up somewhere near where we decide to go. I'm located in Jax so anyone comming from around here can meet up with me before we head out. I am leaving the destination up to you guys. I am pretty cherry when it comes to wheelin but am up for anything. I would prefer semi-hard trails (for florida standards). Nothing wrong with a little challenge.
