I have narrowed i dow to the Warn MOSFET 9.5si and the Mile Marker VMX 9.

Warn is expensive but legendary. Mile Marker is less expensive but I have never heard anything bad about them.

Experience?

Having used a Warn, I am now spoiled by the line speed. Mile Markers are legendary too - for glacial line speed LOL.

If the Warn is too much, I would look at their lower line, Tabor, or Tmaxx.

I've only used my warn like 4 times in a year and a half. And when I really, really needed the reverse spool, it didn't work. I'm still a little bitter about it. I'm not saying all Warn winches will be defective like that, but it's not the only story I've heard about defective reverse solenoids. Ask Molly or Layton.

Mile Markers are slower but under load they arn't that much slower. The top of the line Warn is crazy fast under no load, 62 Ft/min but only faster by about 1 ft/min under load. My son has a MX8 and is very nice.
