good question...the problem is that you'll get about 4 different answers, each with good points. I'm not sure there is a "best" air filter for all applications.

Ah but this will be fun. I am partial to Toyota fuzzy OEM filters. There are no Cheap filters for our trucks so we might as well get good ones, I bought an aftermarket paper filter once and the media wasn't nearly as thick or textured as the Toyota filters.
Paper or reuseable?
Paper I say Toyota
Reusable I suggest Amsoil from what I have gathered.
I second the Toyota filters. I think they filter the dust better.

I agree, if you like paper the OE is best.
I like my K&N though ;)

I clean mine once a year, sometimes twice, along with the MAF

In the dusty dry summer time Sierras. I am sure you dirty it up pretty quickly.

i would say a lot of people run amsoil, themariachi has one with the deckplate and its been good to him so far
