Alrite, this isnt much of a build up, but shit I was stoked about everything. I purchased the Truck about a year ago and the first thing I did to it was the cheap cheap mods: Grey Wire, 2lo, Deckplate. Then I got some 16x8 Custom fit Street loks and from then on my truck turned heads. Soon after I picked up an 18" Magnaflow and quite literally the Truck sounds like a V8. This is how it looked before

Now here comes the fun stuff..But imma use some teaser pics first.

So yes, like all the other cheap bastards on this forum I picked up some swayaway 2.0s for just under 400. I got a steal, because they were ready to be bolted on as soon as I got them. They are thr old style 675# and I pumped them with 150 psi. All I can say is for all you naysayers regarding my nitrogen count, or the fact that these babies will be to stiff :flipoff2: I cannot even explain how well this baby drives on the road. It soaks up bumps like no other, doesnt do extremely well on potholes Im assuming it hits the stops but I am thoroughly impressed for a 750 coilover that I picked up for 400. Because of the weight of my d-cab and v-6 the ride is quite literally perfect. Anyways here are SOME pics.. more to come

Deckplate with bug screen, and trueflow :D

Regardless of what people said I went with the 10" 170/60 Bilstein 5150's. They ride superb and I had 12" stroke on my old '96 but these are nothing like them. The ride on the 170/60 is a big difference from the 255/70...I also extended my bumpstops 2" and at full flex they work perfectly :D I will have further pics in a bit..but heres some teasers

Basically in order to move the blinkers into the parking light housing you need to buy two 1157 bulbs and two LS6469 Sockets (Napa, kragen, checkers etc.) ... basically remove your clear corners and carve out a hole big enough for the sockets. (using dremel) Once you have an adequate hole seal the hole with silicone in order to prevent water leakage...connect the end wires to existing parking light wires..here i searched :google:

Note: to remove plastic shavings use distilled water... let me know if you have any more questions

here is a pic of the bracket holding up lights.

lastly here is how the shock sits when riding...Note: I lost about 2" on the driver side up travel, but the ride is way worth it...I have not bottomed out going through potholes at 65 :D

So between gas and college I havent found much time for my baby...but I put in a couple things..

I received the budbuilt skid plate and it is probably one of the better investments on the truck. I need to scratch the new paint again, but it definatley has had its abuse.

Lastly I searched for a good 3months for a dang 08 Scion Head unit. I finally got one, but it took FOREVER to install..

With the T1808, there is alot of trimming and patience required. It took me three hours to pay attention to detail, and make this look clean. Granted im a bit OCD with my truck, but you get the picture. The sound quality is spectacular, and all I need to do is trim a bit on the right side of the bezel, and install the Ipod cable.

Thats it for now, but I know alot of people have had questions (including myself) about how to make the 08 Scion Head unit fit into the tacoma without making it look like a junkyard enthusiast put one in ;)

Thanks for looking!
