Sounds like a descent deal to me, depending on condition. They are extremely reliable vehicles. They get terrible mileage, about 13 tops from what I've heard.
poop for mileage but a greaat rig for offroad. full floaters rear and front? does it have lockers? be good deal i think if she loaded and has lockers. do a 4inch left and cut, run 35s no prob
If that rig is in decent shape then that is a good price. It is a very solid vehicle and is great off-road in stock form even with limited clearance. They get crappy mileage. I am lucky to get 12-13mpg but I am running a 3+" lift and 35" tires.
I am new to the Land Cruiser myself but the most common problem I have read about are the head gaskets which often need replacing before 200k.
Here is a great forum for Cruisers: http://forum.ih8mud.com/
yeah, taht's a good deal. If it's a 95, then it's got disk brakes all around and a full floating axle. The only problem you run into, as stated before, is the head gasket, which is about a weekend worth of trouble. I've waited on mine to go, because I'm not big on spending all that time on some PM. It's not like my engine's gonna blow up if the HG fails. Just have to keep doing the "bubble test" to make sure it's not failing. At 7k, even w/ out lockers, that's a pretty good deal considering the mileage. You could buy it, drop 3k more in ARB lockers, and still come out less than what you'd pay for a locked 80 series w/ that many miles.
If you're not in a hurry, I'd say wait a little bit and try to find a locked one. They're harder to find but worth the while and hold on to the value quite well.
However, if you don't wheel a lot, locker may not be much useful.
