Well... just broke my Deavers today....

Went out on a small test run today to test some small items. I got the rear wheel stuffed, when I heard a snap! I broke the top leaf of my Deaver 11 Pack.

I am pissed, I have two trips on them since they were re-built by Deaver (to fix the Tbob damage and when I had the spring clip issue.) When they did that I had them add another leaf, and re-arch the springs... as the 10 pack was sitting pretty flat.

SO, my question is this, by having the springs re-arched could that cause the springs to be weaker from the re-arching them?

Will like I told you when you bought them - I think the problem with deavers is you need to run more bump stop. They go too neg. with stock bumps.

Well they were so much better once they added the leaf.. we'll see what happens tomorrow when I call Deaver.

Oh and what was the TBob damage?

They were needing to get re-arched! That's what I was referring to:rolleyes:

Bummer.

Wil, I added and additional 2.5" spacer to my rear bump stops to limit the negative arch. With your heavy rig it doesn't surprise me at all it broke if it flexed over an inch negative.
