I'm about to order a new front driveshaft and was curious how much slip are you guys with a solid axle running?

Chris, I think it may be best to measure your travel on the front to get an idea as to how much is moving. I'm not sure but I think it may kinda vary based on the truck. That's just my semi intelligent thought for the day. Lemme know if you need a hand with measuring, etc.

Right on. I was going to flex it out this weekend to get some measurements. I don't want to spend all that money to find out that I messed up and ordered the wrong slip or type of slip. I'm sure Tom Wood's wouldn't do that, but it doesn't hurt to post up for any help.

Thanks, I got that info from Tom when I asked him how much it was going to cost.

There is also a driveshaft shop on Hwy 41 in Marietta that Daniel has used and he said they do real good and fair work.

I definitely need a long travel shaft on my truck but I think some of that is due to axle wrap issues. With that said, you might want to think about getting a long travel shaft even if you don't need it right away. The added travel will let you make some modifications to the suspension without you needing to buy a new driveshaft every time you change shackle length or add a leaf to the pack.
