Miner's Revenge 3-8-08

Because everyone likes looking at pics I thought I'd post some of these up.
With my truck down I grabbed a seat with Westy and headed out to do a trail with them. Not one I would take mine on although Jon in his 3rd gen did amazingly. Just walked up everything!
We met up nice and early in Superior.

A few hours later we were at the trail head. Some yota troubles on the way to the meeting spot for one truck.

Same poor 4runner got a flat about a mile into the trail. Rock jumped up and got em!

It was a lot of fun and I know that Elvota wants to get out there and do it.
Maybe Westy will want to head out there again too. He is a good trail leader.

Just on the other side of superior. Just next to the turn off for Battleaxe actually.
Its a really short trail too. Lots of time to spend on hanging out and making sure everyone makes it etc.

It's between Kelvin/Kearny and Superior if you head south from Superior towards Winkleman(for you PHX guys). You actually turn off the highway onto Battleaxe Road.

Its a great trail. Lots to see and good variety of trail too. Three times out there now in the past few months, I've always went up the big falls. First time we all winched, but the last couple times I figured out how to drive the right fall. Good times...

Next time we might have to try going down. The one fall is very slick rock, it would be interesting I'm sure. Vehicles probably just slide down it the whole way.

I don't recommend driving down it unless you have huevos grandes. Long wheelbase would help though and don't use 800 million Tacama low, you gotta be able to roll out of it if you start sliding. You can have the person behind you winch you down and then for the last person someone prop themselves up the other little fall and snatch block off the cable up there and lower them down.

bring it just in case. It's not just the pump tho, box needs to be rebuilt also. I plan on redoing everything and upgrading to PSC soon, just not going to get done before AZRocks.
