Several of us ran a couple trails at the White Tanks on Saturday. It was a great group and I had a blast. Here is my photobucket album for all of the pics and I've included a couple on here. I know there were lots of pics taken, unfortunately I forgot my memory stick so was only able to take a few on my cameras internal drive??? So post up what you have, and see you on the trail again soon! I also have a little bit of video I'll edit from the waterfall on Oreo.

I had a blast! ...and I also learned how much metal I can grind off Elmo by trying to follow Uriel's line !!!

That last obstacle on Ruler was a bitch, and you F@#%er$ are all at the top listening to the carnage and laughing. I can hear the conversation now: You gonna go spot him? Nope, he needs to learn on his own. But I hear a lot of crunching and grinding! Yeah, but the training wheels have to come off sometime!!! OK, we'll leave him down there for fifteen minutes, unless we hear screams of agony or an explosion... :lmao:

It was an educational day to say the least... :D

Good trail. Everyone drove pretty well. That oreo fall was harder then it looked. It took a couple of tries to find the right lines. I had to bump my vehicle pretty hard to get it up there.

It definitely was nice running with all toyotas :)

Was a good time, good to meet those I hadn't met yet, and wheel with everyone. Wanted to try that fall on oreo but my rig was not 100% and if something went wrong in there it would've been bad.

Nate, I assume you got home alright? I never heard from you. I'da cam and got you with the horse trailer :p

Well, I might just take it off, beat the flange back flat, and weld up the hole to get me by. the hole I think was created from the ring gear when the cover made contact with it. It ripped a small hole in it. Maybe just a small bead will do for now. I am headed out to see if I can get the CV boot back on for now. I think the clamp just came off. You guys think it would be ok to just to weld a small bead on the cover where that small hole is while it's still on the truck? I would rather not drop the cover just for that since I am replacing the cover soon. I am just concerned about slag dropping inside the diff and igniting the oil. Is that a valid concern?

Symon623

slag in teh oil will put the fire out, its the fumes you have to worry about. Prolly not a big deal if you stitch with a mig but not a constant bead? make sure you vent is OPEN.

Stitch weld a piece of flat stock over the hole...just don't build up too much heat and you'll be fine...gear oil is not "that" flammable (ask me how I know:xpimp: ).

id be worried about a slag ball in the oil and then going thru the gears, may not hurt them if it did happen, but is it worth the risk?

No, its not "That" hard, just sick of both PS fluid and gear oil. I don't want to see it, smell it, or have to clean it off of my clothes, skin, and every tool I own. I Just ordered a Solid cover. Should be here Monday. So, I am going to wait and just change it once. I tried to get in touch with Shawn at GLO, but he never bothered getting back with me. Even the company that I got the Solid cover from used to sell them, but the guy said he could never get Shawn to answer his phone or return his calls, so he doesn't push them anymore. Suck for GLO cause they are losing customers.

yea I'm sure it's because they don't fit right - Chandler and I had to do extensive mods to get the cover to mount to the 14 bolts.

He was definately thinking "screw you guys, I'm going home" (insert best Cartman impression here). That was definately classic, I think it's the first time I have ever seen a passenger eject while on an obstacle. I've wanted to several times while driving though!:xpimp:

I made it, but used some assistance. There was a really tight spot right at the top that was interesting as well.

I think if we would have lined you up a little better at the bottom you would have made it for sure! Driver rear a little higher on the wall would have made all the difference. It was awesome to watch that "big biatche" get up there regardless!:xpimp:

Yeah, that hub has fuc*%!ed me more than once for sure. I was looking at the Dynatrac stub hubs, but they want over $1100 for a set:eek: I thought about putting slugs in there, but I drive the truck on the road too much. I have two spares so....let'm blow:cool:
