I already have one of those hood scoops that glues to your hood :( it looks good, but i would really rather have a hood scoop like the ones that the 4runners have. Does anybody know where i can find the hood i'm looking for? Peace Mud_Driven

Unless you swap the whole clip the 4 runner hood won't fit without some major trimming of the front edge. Only hoods with scoops I can think of is the fiber glass one from glassworks. I am sure other companies who do fiber glass make them though.

Glassworks has been known to eff up alot of hoods though, you'll recieve them and they dont fit right... but Ive seen some of their stuff on tacos and it isn't bad.

These guys can also make cowel or scoop style hoods for ya http://church-steeples.com/.

But as for there being a mass produced bolt on, doesnt exist. I bet someone will make em for th e05's though, bastards!

The problem with fiberglass is sometimes you get a good mold, and sometimes you don't. Its just the luck of the draw with fiberglass. I know a guy that got glassworks fenders that fit just as good as stock and we mounted them at night, in 45* weather, with 30mph wind gusts (NO JOKE) and they fit perfect. Others complained of having to wait till there is heat so they can mold and manipulate them to fit. Sometimes they fit perfect, other times they don't and sometimes they have chips. Thats not GWU's fault, its imperfection with the fiberglass.

BTW, Glassworks is just incorrect about their hood applications. That SC hood will fit all 95.5-2004 Tacomas.

nope hoods are different. 95.5-00 are different from 01-04's

I dont think he meant that the exact same hood will fit from 95.5 to 04. I think he meant that glassworks makes what they call a supercharger hood for 95.5 to 04 tacomas. That being said, it doesnt say that the same hood will fit on a 95 as would an 04. Their supercharger line is made to fit all hood styles from 95 to 04. As far as fitment goes, I bought one about a month ago, and I thought it was a great product. People assume fiberglass has to be perfect and fit right up like a bolt on replacement hood would. Fiberglass is not perfect, and should be treated as such. Any fiberglass product will need finishing and adjustment to fit properly. It comes with the territory......

dude just fab it yourself, i had a buddy who bought one of those tape on one, screwed it on, "bondoed"(it was something they use on like rice burner body kits to make is appear smooth) sanded it and took it to have it painted, he also cut out the hood under it and made it a legit scoop. i actually turned out pretty slick, he sold the truck other wise i'd snag a pic of it
