Second Annual Bachelor Bash - April 13-15 2012

*** April 13 - 15 ***

Wanted to let ya'll cats know that I'm planning a wheeling trip at Superlift in April again this year.

This is the Second Annual Bachelor Bash. All are welcome, even if you couldn't make the Bachelor Bash.

I plan to rent out the cabin again, as that seemed to work pretty well last time. Cabin occupancy is really whatever we make of it. 4 beds but lots of space on the floor. Cabin is right at $218 for two nights, so divide that how you'd like. Was a very affordable option last night when you consider tent camping is not free. I'd rather stay at the park than drive home, as the party as hanging out after wheelin' is half the fun.

1-19 - Cabin is reserved for our party.
2-27 - Cabin is no longer reserved for our party :(
3-13 - We will be in campsites 3 - 7

Requirements:
  • Waldo brings Keystone Light
  • Daniel enjoys lots of lunchables
  • Aaron teaches a Beer Bismarcking course
  • Aaron also throws up
  • Aaron passes out on the porch
  • Aaron rallies and keeps drinking
  • Daniel invites underage strangers to the shindig
  • Aaron begs, pleads, and prods others to go to strip club
  • Waldo reminds us that it's not gay if your balls don't touch
  • We all remind Carlos "not at the table"
  • Daryl supervises the chaos
  • It's a great weekend
Cabin Tenants:
- Steve
- Aaron
- Stacey
- Lance
- Me

This is the First Annual Bachelor Bash Reunion. All are welcome, even if you couldn't make the Bachelor Bash.

The first weekend of April is Easter, so that's out. At this point (4 months out...) all my weekends are free. I know some of ya'll need to ask off of work or need a kitchen pass, so I'm trying to put it out there plenty in advance.

So, post up your thoughts...

On a serious note, keep in mind that the Lonestar Toyota Jamboree is in April...

YotaJosh 12-13-2011 08:48 PM

Sounds like fun. Maybe I'll actually stay the entire weekend and have some fun. :D

April 19-22 to be exact.

domino 12-13-2011 08:52 PM

I'll be there. Just need to have a date in advance so I can plan for it. And even though I can't go to gilmer this year, you may want to avoid the weekend of the jambo so folks can go to both if they'd like.

Jordan7118 12-14-2011 08:22 AM

Jambo weekend noted. We will not have it that weekend. Thanks for the reminder!

So that leaves the weekend before or the weekend after Jambo. Any thoughts?

If you can, you should plan to stay at the park the whole weekend. We had as much fun hanging around the cabin as we did trail-riding :D

Arky Tacoma 12-14-2011 08:35 AM

I'd possibly like to do both, especially since i haven't been able to go to the Jambo for a couple of years because of work. Funny thing will be now that I can go, nobody else will want to :)

Jordan7118 12-14-2011 08:38 AM

If by complete luck I could go to Texas, I'd be riding there with someone and going for the social aspect. Last time was good for camping. Glad they've moved it to April, so maybe the wheeling will suck less and the weather will be much better.

01yota 12-14-2011 11:43 AM

I'd like to do both also, we'll just have to see how it plays out with work. They might be moving me down to Laredo, TX after the first of the year.

Why aren't you going to Gilmer?!

Daniel_prerunner 12-14-2011 11:52 AM

If I have funds available and my truck is still together I'd like to do both!

Jordan7118 12-14-2011 01:18 PM

Awesome! Hope you can make it, Drew! Be cool to see you as a married man :D

Daniel, your required to attend - you and Aaron are in charge of entertainment :o

Jordan7118 12-14-2011 02:50 PM

Poll is up.

Ashley is taking jan-mar off to student teach. We're not going to have the funds to make any long trips til next fall probably

JWaldz 12-15-2011 05:56 PM

Hell yea!! I'm down. I'd love to go to both but we'll see. Everything is up in the air at the moment cus I'm looking for a new job. So my schedule could change quickly and I may not have a choice.

Jordan7118 12-27-2011 10:59 AM

Hope you find some employment, Waldo!!! Exciting and anxious times, I'm sure!

4xsteve 01-03-2012 12:42 PM

I should be able to make this whenever it is. Of course, like you Jordan, my schedule is open "as of right now". Don't know about making the long haul back to Gilmer this year. I would kinda like to go just for nostalgia as that's where I "found" my current crawler last year.

01yota 01-05-2012 08:33 AM

Post a date so I can get off work

Jordan7118 01-05-2012 12:36 PM

April 13, 14, 15 has the most votes. Let's go with that until someone checks their schedule and cries about it :D

Jordan7118 01-19-2012 04:23 PM

I reserved the cabin for April 13-15. (4) bunk beds, a small bathroom and shower, AC, heat (I think...), and plenty of floor space for people. I think it worked out great last time and was quite affordable, almost as cheap as tent camping without having to set up a tent / establish camp. Also gives us a spot to hang out on the porch and fire ring. The cabin is ~$210-215 for the weekend, so it's roughly $40 / person if we have 5 people, which is what we had last time.

If you'd like to get in on the cabin, shoot me a text / PM / post up. All are welcome!

4xsteve 01-19-2012 04:57 PM

Count me in for a top bunk or a floor space.

beaz 01-19-2012 08:28 PM

Sounds like a bunch of grab-assing so tentatively count me in. I need to get back in to the swing of things.

OldTruck 01-19-2012 10:11 PM

This looks like a good group is gathering. Got it on my calendar

Hot dang, Stacey! Be good to see you again!

domino 01-20-2012 03:53 AM

Put me down for staying in the cabin. I'll try not to pass out on the porch this time.. :o

You're in! Thanks for the reminder! I've added that to my list :D

JWaldz 01-20-2012 11:46 AM

How many people you got down for staying in the cabin so far?

Jordan7118 01-20-2012 02:35 PM

Steve
Aaron
Stacey

That's the confirmed at the moment. I'm not worried about it filling up. There's a lot of room in that cabin. We could probably sleep 8 or more comfortably (if floor is fine).

JWaldz 01-20-2012 05:07 PM

Well if Aaron can sleep half on the porch and half in the gravel I'm sure he can handle sleeping on the floor :D
