Going out to explore more of the Mojave Preserve/Road in preparation for our Toyota120 Mojave Road trip in September.
Going to be traveling a different section than we did this past Sunday (which was a cool as hell trip!!!!) and am willing to again be your tour guide on a journey the time (that means history!!!).
This trip will probably originate on the I-15 side of the Preserve, and will start by going to the town of Nipton, and then heading up into the New York Mountains from there.
This again, is an all day trip, but absolutely guaranteed to be fun!!!!
Meeting time and place to be determined, and will be posted up in the first post (here).
It would be nice to get more than two (2) trucks out this time, but I'm going regardless. Check out the trip report from this past Sunday's trip!!!
Peace!!!
Robert:xpimp: :xdevil:
EDIT:
Meeting Place: Costco @ Marks St & Sunset Rd. Henderson.
Time: 7:45 am - 8:16 am. Leave at 8:17 am.
Head to Searchlight, NV. Gas up at the Chevron, then head up the Joshua Tree Highway to Nipton, CA.
Stop at Nipton, shop (maps and books on the Mojave Road and the Mojave Preserve can be bought here).

As far as anyone else wanting to tag along you are welcome to join us. Running this trail is an awesum experience jam packed with old west history and beautiful desert scenery and wildlife ( check out pics from last sunday look for the Big Horn Sheep). Remember this is an all day run, this is the DESERT in August bring plenty of drinking water and sunblock and you will need a Full Tank of Gas. Last Sundays round trip was about 260 miles.

Right on Don! We'll continue to have some FUN! Brett (Damaged110) and some of the other guys from work might show up too.:driving: :driving: :boobies: :xpimp: :xdevil:
Unfortunately all day trips on Sundays just aren't really a possibility for us. We have a standing family commitment on Sundays. Although it may be in doubt, Emma and I had a great time at Rocky Gap Road, and really do want to get out with you guys again. I can't remember ever meeting another group where we liked everyone.
Ya Bro, We need a mmeting time and place and I,m ok getting an earlier start since this is an all day run it would be nice chance to swing by some place that has the mojave preserve map.
Robert may be able to give you a more accurate answer as only knows how far we will go. on the first run it was just me and robert 2 trucks and give easy and have problem push onward hard allday so we did run until dark the hit pavement and got back to town around 10pm.
There are many roads we will cross so there are opportunities to bail out at a time convienent to you. At the begining of the trail in Nipton, CA we will get detailed maps of the area for everyone.
Count me in. Convinced the wifey I need a day off for fun. :driving: It also helped her mother is coming in town this weekend. One of my friends will be tagging along with me as well. Also, what are the chances of getting a sticker for my ride..I wanna be special too!?!?

Right on Josh!! The meeting place and time is in the first post. Look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
For your sticker, PM Carl, he can bring some out with him on Sunday. He's bringing some out for Don already.
Actually, he should just bring a shit load of them, as I'm sure others will want some too.........:2cents: :2cents: :2cents:
I hope the stickers are better than the one Carl gave me. What a PIA! I wound up throwing it away. Maybe I am just an idiot, but it did not work too well.
So not everyone thinks a dumb ass, I peeled off the backing and half the letters stuck to the backing. Then most of what letters where left stuck to the other part. and not my window.
Well the one I gave had been in my truck for awhile. I will give you one the ones that stayed at the house. Punkass:xsmash: :slap: :buttkick: :flipoff1: :flipoff3: :flipoff2:
If you haven't registered on Toy120 yet, do so. It's an incredible bunch of folks (just like here), and we have a lot of fun. Next weekend, we're having our Toyota120 Big Bear trip. Still time to sign up to go, but you'd definitely need sliders for that one!!
That's right folks, it's time to wheel and have FUN!!!!!
As of now, this is the list of people going. I'm adding Brian Maloney from Toyota to the list. He works For Toyota, and is the FTS (field Tech specialist) for the Denver Region. He has a bad ass 80 that he just recently bought, and has been itching to go out with us. He should be @ Costco at about 8:00 am.
