Solo Big Bear

So yeah......Im trying to be like scuba with this solo trip. lol.
Well since we were planning a Bear Bear trip and our plans fell apart last week I decided to hit the trail with my daughter.

The day started out nice. The sun was out and it didnt look like rain or snow would be hitting us. Boy was I wrong!! The first 10 or so miles of the trail was pretty muddy and the walls were up to 5 feet with snow at some spots. There is A LOT of snow in the mountains!!! We found a nice spot for her to play, make a snowman, snow angel and do some sledding. We decided to head out around 4:30pm when the sun went down. Not only did the sun come down but the clouds rolled in.......

Took me 2 1/2 hours to get from Sugarloaf to the bottom of the hill. The snow pounded my truck and road. The visibility was horrible which caused several accidents on the way down. Everyone was driving 5mph due to all the Ice on the road. Cal Trans had there hands full for a good part of the evening! Here are my pictures....Enjoy!

Thanks! I forgot to mention that I was unable to run the complete trail like we did on 12-12-2009. There was way tooo much snow in the holocomb valley area. I didn't want to risk getting stuck!
