So i got 5100s up from, tsb with 2" block in rear... i wanna go bigger.. i'm thinkin about adding some kind of leaf in the rear and adding coil spacer up front.. i have also heard of OME springs.. if u add with 5100's does that add lift? is that a rough ride? or whats the best way to go about this? an no i don't wanna spend 800$ on a new 6" lift.. btw i have 4x4 if that has any issues with the diff drop and cv axle angles

From your sig, your about maxed out without doing a drop bracket kit or solid axle swap. Basically, your suspension geometry only down travels so far. Keeping the truck riding a full droop would wear the ball joints out very quickly
For the back the blocks tend to wear the springs early. The OME pack is a slight lift over stock springs. You can have leaf packs made for as much lift as you want but some people then have driveline vibrations. If you are looking for a cheap way to squeeze another inch or two out. You should look into a body lift. Much more than that and you would add progressively more expensive options of hacking the front cab mount, go larger on the tires, or a drop bracket kit.

i was talking about adding ome to the front bilstein instead of the stock springs.. and a diff drop bracket is pretty cheap and not worried about that. and i'm only running a 2.5" lift.. some coil over systems, aftermarket springs, and coil spacers claim they are over 3".. so i'm not sure where i am maxing out at..

If your running just the shock with the stock spring up front then yes the OME will give you a lift. The SHOCK does NOT provide lift, it provides dampening. SPRINGS provide lift. If you were running the stock springs with a spacer kit then the OME will give you about the same lift with a much better ride without the spacer.

i'm not sure u understand what a bilstein 5100 is.. i understand that the spring provides the lift, but the shock acts like a coilover to where it raises the bottom perch where the spring sits on.... basically what i'm thinkin of doing is adding either ome springs (which i do not know if they will provide more lift when added to the bilstein 5100 shocks) or add a 3/4" spacer

Basically you can only lift the front end around 3". I'm not sure how much the lift the springs provide, if you install the springs with the 5100s at the lowest setting the only lift you will gain is from the springs. You can raise the setting on the 5100s in combination with the lift springs to achieve the desired height. Once you get up to a total lift in the 2.5 a 3" range your front suspension is maxed out.

Dont lift your truck anymore than 2-3", unless your adding a bodylift or dropbracket lift (DB lifts are expensive). Adding OME coils will lift the truck because they are taller than stock coils. The 5100s can add lift depending on what perch setting they are on, they acheive this by compressing the coil (which stiffens the ride). If you get OME coils, you can adjust the 5100s to add more lift in addition to the coils, but the combination of the two should not exceed 3" AT MOST, or parts will start to fail and your ride will be as stiff as a board. By getting taller coils and putting the 5100s at a lower setting, your ride will be softer because the coil wont be as compressed as it is with your current setup.
You can get about 2" of lift out of the OME coils alone... http://www.wheelersoffroad.com/05upometaco.htm

You're gonna get into a lot of hassle and bad handling if you try to go more than 3" in the front, unless you go drop bracket, which makes you hack up the factory frame crossmembers and looks gay IMO anyway. I'd take out the rear block, run 33s and call it a day, if it were me. Stock control arms and balljoints can only flex so far down. You know how when you put the 5100s back in its hard to get the LCA to drop down far enough? That's because that's as far as it wants to droop, no matter what shock/spring/coilover you wedge in it.

i remember putting a spacer lift in my ex girls 05 prerunner and i could barely stuff the struts back in... but when i put the 5100's in it was fairly simple... maybe because its .5" less lift? i might think about getting a .5" or 3/4" spacer and just be done with it... i really dont wanna shell out the 800$ or whatever it is for a 6" lift and be able to fit some tires.... i kinda wanna go with 305 and b done with it...
