Default BR Goes Semi-Retirement!!

Still have one more piece of the puzzle to buy... or borrow
BR is thrilled he doesn't have to haul me to work every day now or get traded for an expo rig.

2001 Lariat w/106k miles, 2wd, short box, shell, new tars. Rides, runs and drives great! Fits in the garage with about 2" to spare

Ya don't see to many of these 350's in this config. I'll be able to haul my tractor around now too.. after getting a trailer of course.

Not a big Ford guy but nice score on the 7.3. It's by far the best diesel they've had to date. That configuration should make for a very nice and capable tow rig.

Nah, don't worry guys. I'm expecting a fresh red and blue custom paint job before long! IF Ted has any money left after filling that diesel tank

I got this it's a 20'. 18' flat 2' beaver tail. 2-3500lb axles with brakes on both and Metal deck. It was a little pricey but we do use it to haul motocycles out to California.

Sweet... California, sheesh that's a long way.

My tractor is in the 8500# or < weight range. So I'm thinkin' dual 5k axles or so.

I've got a 20' wood deck. 18' flat, 2' beaver tail just like James, but I only have dual 3K axles.

If you plan on hauling the tractor around alot I would suggest going with a trailer with 6 or 7k lb axles. If indeed it weighs 8500 then time you add the weight of the trailer your gonna be pushing the limit of a 5k.

If a bumper pull is what your looking for this would be a good one.

Check trailers plus over here in Marietta. They usually have good prices and always have new trailers coming in. It's right around the corner from my office.

We have always bought our trailers from A and F Trailers here in Marietta. They custom built our last one to the exact dimensions we were wanting. Actually they welded my sliders together at the same time. They seem to really know what they are talking about and want to accommodate your needs

Thanks for the leads guys! So many choices!

So this truck has a spare tire anti-theft key thing that requires... you guessed it a special key... that didn't come with the truck. So a little web surfin' landed this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpIbeEaWRKg works like a champ. I have the whole set of extractors if anyone ever needs to perform the same thing.

Make sure whatever you get is 82" wide between the fenders. BR made not need it now but in the future as he grows you will. Mine is 78-79" wide so the standard 75" trailers are useless

Nice score Ted. Drive old BR occasionally so he doesn't get too jealous. I drive my red truck about once a week to keep him happy.

Thanks Chris. I actually drove BR to work today, he was glad to get out of the barn.
