Finally got around to ditching my 3" BL, removed my wheel spacers, refabbed my winch mount to drop it down 3" to match the cut outs in the bumper, welded my sliders on, and got my toolbox coated with some bedliner. It rides and so much better now... Should have done it sooner!

From Tin Benders this weekend..
Ran Sledge Hammer.
Only took a strap on the plaque, the obstacle in the photo. Rear wouldn't climb and the front wouldn't grab the soft sand.

A bunch of the guys said they have never heard of an IFS truck getting through sledge.. So I may be the first...

I got a couple small dings. One on the cab right behind the door and one on the front lower corner of the front fender near the corner light. You know me.. No big deal.

Really glad I decided to bring the tube doors or else the plaque would have destroyed my drivers side door.

I don't have any more, yet. My camera has been dead since KOH so I only have my phone to take pictures with. I was lucky to get that one taken. A friend of mine got tons of go-pro video of me, though. So that will be coming ASAP.

Hey it's not my fault you lied about having an All-Pro rear bumper and then posted pictures of a truck that doesn't have one, jackass. Go back to CustomTacos and letting your uncle finger your butthole.

Your tacoma is so bad arse! I've had a picture of it saved for a long time wondering about it's details. If I may inquire, what made you decide to extend the wheelbase after shortening it?

Haha thanks, its a work in progress. Never shortened the wheel base, its a ext cab on a reg cab frame. It was sitting at about 105" (2" over stock 103") after the cab swap, had it there for about 2 years. Now i want to be just a little longer for some of those big climbs/falls.

Seems like that thing is gonna bounce like mad. It will take quite a bit of bracing to keep it solid enough to not bounce. Even with out any weight up there, its a lot of leverage out that far. Too bad you don't have a Yakima load bar or something you can anchor the front of the rack to. That would solve it.

yea i was worried about that till i welded it up..hardly moves at all actually. I was jumping up and down on the tail gate and it just shook a bit.

ill make some gussets for it regardless. plus i dont have the mesh in the bottom or the other supports for it.

I never really put anything up there super heavy anyways.

but its surprisingly rigid.

Default I dunno about the load bars...

you were talking about one for the cab roof right?

I would think that would be not so good an idea if his bed moves as much as mine does, I think it would break the load bar with just torsion, but I could be wrong.
