Thread on is done for.... Spindle help
I had 1 of the 2 bolt threads in the spindle become completely useless.. It attaches to the ball joint to the spindle, but it would not grab onto the bolt anymore, the threads were completely gone. i notice the oem hardware of the bolt is a grade 11. i ended up drilling the hole a little to fit a 1/2 Zinc Plated Grade 8 Hex screw and bolted it with 2 washers and a nut from home depot.. my question is how strong are grade 8 bolts, and can this be a fix or temp fix? thanks guys
