Yep bent that rear axle shaft. That's why the tire was wobbling. Need one replacement to get me going while I build me a set of tons.
Don't need any brake components. I have rear discs to reinstall.
Whatever you do, just remember that If you stay with 4.56's and go with anything bigger than a 40+ dont be surprised if you start bombing tcase gears.
That was the next thing to go on my old 4runner after the guy bought it. Saw a video of him on royal gorge, and since I had put the 30 spline outputs in...the t-case gears went cruuunch. Same spot where I snapped my output.
Good point. Probably end up going with 5.38s while I have the axles on the table. Might go with a d300 doubled with my 4.7s if I can get a deal on the adapter.
If you're going to go with a D300, you might as well double it up with a beefier case in the rear and sell me your 4.7's as a package deal with your longs. Just sayin.
I have 2 ifs shafts and 2 shafts from my 83 axle you can have for 50$ if you want to drive to Pearland and get them
