To those with a One-Piece Driveshaft

Did you have to cut the center bearing mount when you installed your one-piece driveshaft?

Not at all. I had plenty of clearance. That way if you have any serious warranty issues, you can slap a stock driveshaft in there and no issues with the stealership.

Agreed. I had a 2.5" diameter custom shaft made with a .095 wall which is overkill for the HP production in our trucks. However, I wanted to ensure plenty of clearance from the carrier bearing mount. I know for a fact that you can clear a 3" diameter shaft (much cheaper to make.....existing two-piece shaft can be easily modified with a 3" diameter tube).
