Default OME 880s with plate bumper, winch?

I have OME 880 coils and Nitrocharger shocks and Dakars in back. I am about to install a plate front bumper and possibly a winch. Im guessing this will really weight down the 880s. I'm debating the 881s or 883s. I don't mind a bit of a firm ride but I don't want it to be uncomfortable.

Will my 880s really suck with 150-200 more lb?

If so, 881 882 or 883?

Yea, 880's aren't gonna cut it. How much lift are you looking for after having the bumper and winch on there?

I have Dakars and OME shackle in the back. I guess another inch or so wouldn't hurt but I'm not too concerned with the amount of lift, I just want it to handle decently despite the heavy bumper etc. After reading this http://www.ttora.com/forum/showthread.php?t=187371
I think I'll go with 882s

Now I am torn. I put an order in for 882s and cancelled it thinking maybe I should go with 883s or Eibach 620lb. Suggestions?

I got a set of 883s I ran on a single cab for two weeks. I planned on putting a channel bumper on but took the springs off and replaced with 881s. Even with all the bumper materials laid on the stock bumper the springs would not compress at all. The 883s were super stiff. I think I will try 882s once I get the bumper done and get a winch. If you want to try 883s I will sell you mine $100.

Out of the OME coils I'm leaning toward the 882. I know the 882 are recommended for more weight than the 880s and are suitable for the OME shocks. As far as I know the 882 are the same rate as the 880s abut are longer. I am not an engineer by any means, but my limited suspension knowledge makes me think increasing the spring rate for the add'l weight would be logical, as a longer spring of the same rate with more weight will just result in more preload, correct? This would steer me toward the Eibach coils but I'm wondering if the OME shocks will perform well with the Eibachs?

I'd say just go with the 882's and think about getting a trim packer. I've got the 882's on mine and even if it drops an inch after you put all your stuff up front its still gunna be a good amount of lift. I love the way my 882's ride not to stiff it just rides like a truck. I also have plans for a ARB bumper and a winch and my personal opinion is that the added weight will make it handle just right for you.

This is what mine looked like after the 882's so even if you take a little off for the bumper you should still be groovy

That looks good, a bit higher than the 880s I have especially after settling.

Default I run 881s on my 02 4Runner

I am very happy with it, it actually gave me a pretty nice lift.
Good luck.

When I posted about the 883s I had laid all the material for my plate bumper on the front of my truck. It didn't drop the front at all. I replaced the 883s will 881s and the ride is so much better. Now that the bumper is finished and on the truck, i added some plate, the front is sitting a little lower than the rear. I have dakars too. Ride is good but I also plan on adding a winch, vr8000 weight 80lbs. I would go with 882s. The 883s are too stiff. I had one hell of a time getting them compressed to even bolt up and when it was installed I could barely get the spring to compress with 200 lbs jumping on the bumper.

882s should be here Tues. Installed the Elite front bumper yesterday thanks to Jtotheaceyota and it sags noticeably more. I'll try to measure before and after with the 882s.
