Default CEL p1135

Throwing p1135 code... which is for the upstream o2 sensor. Ive read that that sensor is actually more of an a/f sensor and not an o2 sensor.

I've reset the CEL and throw the code instantly after being reset. My truck doesnt seem to be running any differently. What would be the ill effects of running my truck like it is... I dont have the extra cash right now to buy a $160 sensor, and have been driving it for the last few days with the CEL on and honestly cant tell a difference in how the truck runs. Will I be ok for the next week or so untill I can get a new sensor?
Seems like if the a/f sensor is bad I would notice a difference in the way the truck runs..?

whats your year/engine size of your truck? how many miles do you have on your truck? And yea, you won't notice much of any difference in performance, but your gas mileage will suck and that CEL will stay on all the time.

if your running what i see is to be a 2002 V6 auto then i recommend ...

http://www.amazon.com/Denso-234-9001...ar=1&carId=010

under $100 shipped to your door.

I just replaced that sensor about 20k miles ago when I did my URD o2 Sim.... I picked up a Bosch one though, maybe that is my issue? Seems like it should have lasted a little longer... Is there something that could be tripping the sensor and not the sensor actually going bad?

x2, bosch is an ok brand name, but Denso makes the OEM parts for Toyota and many other import manufacturers. So its a trusted name and proven fit right the first time.

ur part # Denso 234-9001 (02 3.4 auto) - front upstream a/f sensor

I just bought one (234-9003) for my 01 5spd from Amazon for $101.00 Its a true genuine denso a/f sensor. Thats the cheapest place ive found.

Actually, the 2001 Cali. and 49-state are listed separately but they are the same sensors. 1999 and 2000 were the only years Toyota had separate exhaust systems for California. From 2001 on the standards were unified and all 50 states used the wideband A/F sensors in front that came on the Cali.'s in 1999 and 2000.
