Hey all,
I've been having a weird, intermittent throttle issue over the last couple weeks, and it's definitely time to address it.
First off, mods in signature. 92 3.0 Xcab Pickup 4x4 5 speed.
It appears as if the throttle cable or the throttle body is sticky or getting stuck. The engine takes a long time to settle down to idle and the revs won't fall immediately (as they should) when I take my foot off the gas to depress the clutch. They fall when I depress the clutch, but this is terrible for my clutch as I'm pushing it in when the engine's revs are still up (as the engine is still throttled somewhere above idle speed). It will idle normally at stops (600-800 rpm). What is causing this? TPS? Sticky/worn throttle cable? Does my pedal in the cab need adjusting? Throttle body worn?
Thanks.
