Anyone want to go check this out? I will be heading down with some co-workers.
http://www.xrra.com/XRRA%20Pages/EventsPage.html One of my co-workers went last year and said it was one of the most kick ass things he has seen. He described it as Rock Crawling on Steroids. I know it is on the same weekend as the Blanca peak run, but I for one know my truck is not capable of running that trail.

These are pretty cool.
Sort of a mix of desert and rock crawling...like mini "King of the Hammers" comps...no "get away with it" builds ie these rigs really do need to be able to do everything, and well...there's no "I only go slow so I can ignore suspension design" or "I never articulate so I don't need to check for binding" or "the suspension only needs to droop" BS. These builds are great examples of how to do everything right, they're just amazing to see in person. Maybe this is what I'll do on my b-day .-Sean |

I've gone to a few XRRA events, and know a good number of the competitors, great bunch of people!
I plan on being there on June 14th at RAM Off Road Park in Colorado Springs. |

I am about 50% sure I'm going to head down. This week is going to be real busy for me and I can't remember if I had something else lined up for the weekend or not. If I don't have any other commitments, I'm going down.

We're gonna try and head down depends if I get my brakes done on Friday, and what my dad wants to do on Fathers day. Hey Doug you want to hop in with us from here? Save you some gas. If he does that leaves one more seat open if anyone else wants to hitch a ride we're in Littleton. Gonna take the 4 Runner or the Corolla don't know yet. be kinda neat to take the 4 runner with a COTTORA sticker on it.

all,
just got a vm from Layton in reference to this event. Unfortunately, i'm tied up all weekend except for Saturday night. This is what i am offering.... (Layton, you got dibs) i got 2 beds and 2 couches to crash on. first come, first served. i am about 20-25 minutes from front door to this event. i will be indulging in jager and bud light, so if you decide to stop by for the night, bring some spirits as a contribution (and maybe a sleeping bag). i also will be providing some sort of "live entertainment". and, if you can make a kick a$$ contribution to my 2 man band(let me re-phrase, if you can play guitar, bass, drums, bongos, spoons, washboards...hell if you can play something and make alot of noise), you may leave with a d44 housing and hubs and some 4:88's for an 8" rear. if i don't know you but you are in good repor with troy and molly, then your cool with me. get in touch with layton....he has my number. cheers,

I went 2 years ago and had a blast! Amazing little buggies!
I'll be enjoying the empty trails at Indy while everyone that usually 4wheel's Indy will be at the Rock Race
