Default Painting chrome bumpers.

I want to paint my chrome bumers , is there a process to use ? or can I just hit them with like a coarse sandpaper and then just paint over them. i tried the back bumper , and it came out pretty good. just want any input.

What I did,
I sanded and cleaned the front bumper really good.
Then I put about 2-3 coats of primer and about 2-3 coats of paint with 2-3 coats of clear.
Though don't get caught behing a tractor trailer in a wind storm, cause the it will get all f'ed up!

It is all about the prep; I used the same method as Yotafun, but sprayed on a few coats of Bulldog surface prep between primer and paint to make sure the paint stuck. Also, you might want to consider using a heavy-duty paint (DuPont makes some good stuff) because bumpers take a lot of abuse.)
