red/clear tail lights

i've done quite a bit of searching on this and have noticed that most people like these over other aftermarket tail lights.. however I have only really seen them on white and silver trucks for the most part and dont know if these will look like shit on my black truck. what do you guys think?

+1... We have no idea what your talking about with out a link or a picture... There's hundred's of aftermarket tail light housings and I havn't seen one I like for my truck yet either... (White 03).. So a link would be great.. J.

i think he was talking about the lights that look like stock ones, just replace the amber section with clear. I think they look sweet, but i couldnt find any for my truck on ebay.

search "tacoma clear tail" on ebay and this listing should come up in the first few results. However the guy that is selling these is asking WAY too much for them: $150 + shipping

I personally think the 01-04 red/clears look a lot better than the 95.5-00.

Then again, i hate the 95.5-00 stock tails/headlights because they all have that faded look. I love the look of the 'crystal clear' type housings.

hmmm To be honest with you, first impression was... Awe.. that's gonna look kinda gay.
But I stand corrected, the smoked looks pretty good.
How'd ya smoke 'em?
If mine wasn't maroon I'd look into that.

I kinda like the black aftermarket ones, or even the carbon fiber(to match my Tailgate emblems)

...but the clear ones= dumb

He smoked them using smoke hobby paint and sprayed the inside of the lens a little bit. Not bad considering if you spray the inside you dont have to worry about scratching etc., mainly you only have to worry about the sun fading the paint or something. Don't know if that could happen though.
