I'm gathering a list of owners that would like to join in to form a Tacoma/FJ chapter for Calgary and the rest of Alberta.

Once we get a list of people together, we'll pick a time and place to get to know each other and plan some events!!

awesome canadian_bum and oriontaco!!

oriontaco... the sliders are better powdercoated with a little grit to them. no slip and slide when i'm standing on them in the winter!
Did you get your Taco back with the new goodies?

Good to hear that they are working out, i will have to see them on yours.

I havent gotten mine back yet, either tonight or tomorrow morn(so Shane says).

I should also mention that before I moved to Calgary I owned a car audio and electronics shop for 8 years, so any wiring issues is right up my alley if anyone needs help. And any mysterious lights that pop up on the dash, Engine, air bag, ABS, ETC. I brought out my scan tools, so before anyone pays someone to tell them what the light means let me know and I would be happy to scan it for ya.

Look forward to meeting everyone.

Not sure ... I'm on my second used one now ... this one at least looks physically intact unlike the the last one(not dial up friendly). I'm gonna replace it with a new one this time and keep the old one and rebuild it as necessary.

The first get together....

Anyone know of a good pub that's central Calgary with decent parking for our trucks.
I was thinking we can peg our meetings on the third Wednesday of every Month. We can plan out our future expeditions and excursions.

I have some ideas on the direction we can go in terms of our "club" events that we can hold in the future and companies we can work with for support which we can discuss to solidify.

How does this sound?

Maybe post a pict of your truck so we can put a truck to your name....

I may be interested in joining in but I've got a lot of other things going on that are above wheeling on the priority list right now. Keep me posted on when and where and I may even put some air in the truck tires and see if it will start for a meeting. I also drive a Civic, most of the time.

And here is a picture of my beast - down in the Bow Valley Parkway.

Now that I don't have any front mudflaps my sliders are taking a beating - anyone know where I can get a bumper and sliders sand blasted for cheap?

And of course the next question is: what do I replace the powder coat with? Any suggestions on a good rattle can product?

I get my stuff done through National 4WD. Both my 81 and Tacoma have everything powdercoated pretty thick with a small bit of texture.

The 81 has held up to the trees and some rocks.

If you go to National talk to Shane or Dale and tell them that Keanu Reeves sent you... Dale more so will find that pretty funny..

As for rattle can... I use Rustoleum primer and Rustoleum semi gloss black. Seems to work ok, rust still makes its way through.
