So FRODO don't go posting this shit on YotaTech or anywhere else...

You could probably fit 12 vehicles at the top of the loop, maybe a few more, but that would be it. The loop at the end is narrow and should only be run one direction since you can't pass. We typically run the loop counter-clockwise. Run everybody up one way to the top, then go down after everybody gets to the top. Then you run the trail back out the way you came in to 2N02.

Couple more pics:

I'm hoping to camp - at least the night prior (Friday) to the run. Should have my RTT and rack on by then... Any suggestions on a campsite location?

Thanks for posting up the add'l pics ShowStop.

It can be either one... You can jam after you're done running on Saturday. But a lot of us like to just camp after wheeling all day.

Took a closer look at the Well's book, and Heartbreak Ridge could turn into an all day run (retracing/backtracking would be required to run Rattlesnake - Maybe Rattlesnake on Sunday for those that camp Saturday night)

Also the Wells' book mentions two campgrounds in the area, Round Valley and Juniper Springs. Reservations are required at Round Valley. No mention of reservations at Juniper Springs. Though they are both 'Group Campgrounds' so my guess reservations are also required. I'll check on availability today. Have no idea if primitive camping is allowed...

Thanks Rick...

With this in mind we are going to have to place the 12 rig limit. Also we may have to find additional camping for the folks coming in on Friday night.

Tyler any suggestions for a large group camp nearby aside from the aforementioned?

Well, it doesn't look like these are very large campgrounds

http://bigbear.us/campinggp.html

Quote:
Juniper Springs: $50. Hiking, biking and OHV trails nearby. BBQ grills (1), fire rings (3), tables (3), pit toilet (1). No trash collection.
7,739', 40 people; 8 vehicles; 5/11-10/15. NRRS

Round Valley: Free. Requires an Adventure Pass.
15 people; 3 vehicles.
Edit: Round Valley doesn't exist on the FS map I have, only Juniper Springs.

Facility includes:
Group campground
Restroom
Drinking water
Group picnic area
Campfires permitted
4x4 access only

Still researching (DennisDawg - you lurking?)
