Just bought a Black 99 4runner Highlander editon with E-Locker and I'm going to build it much like my last 3rd gen. Anyway I'm not sure if I wanted to do MTZ's again or try something different and get the Firestone Destination MT's. Let me know what you would get. Any other suggestions are welcome but I think I've pretty much narrowed it down to these two. Thanks!

well, i've had the pleasure of owning the Destination MTs and loved them. and you're in luck, now I'm running MTZs, so I should be able to give you a pretty good opinion. that is once i get some miles and some wheelin on the MTZs.

bump for update on the comparison...though it looks like LTD98 stuck with the MTZs.

Well, after owning them a little longer, i've got a better opinion, but i'd like to wait til winter to give the full opinion. It seems that the MTZs chunk worse than than the MTs. Also looks like the MTs wore a little better... But lateral holding is better on the MTZs and I'd imagine the MTZs are going to be better in the winter. Rain and dry conditions, both perform about the same. It seems the MTs do better in mud and sand, while they are both about equal on rocks.
