Default 20r head on 22re block

wat do i need to do an how much pf a power gain am i looking at im looking to build a mildly high compression motor how much compression will i look at using standard pistons from an 94 block

You can't, er shouldnt try putting this head on a 94 block. Toyota offered 2 different 22r series blocks, 1st was talldeck, and 2nd was short deck. Youll want a tall deck block for using the 20r head. tall deck blocks were offered between 80/81, and 84/85. The details are out there search and you will find them, but definately do your homework this mod is not for everyone.

well accoriding to lc engineering im gonn have to mill the head for my application it should be great i plaing on runnin dual row timing chain adjustable timin gear might change rods an pistons im wanting to know who has done it an how much of a diffrence

Wouldn't it be easier to just do a good motor rebuild on the 22RE and get the performance upgrades for it from LC? I did mine with a few upgrades and I noticed a bit of power gain. I'm still using the stock air manafold but will probably get the upgrade from LC with in the next few months to gain a bit more power.

im having major complete problems with my re an id probally fry it wheeling the way i do but id like to keep it an all everything eith the fuel injection is going against me rite now so i thought the 20r head on my block would give me bmore power then wat i have now an be more reliable ill been running a weber carb so wont have problems with the fuel department
