I snapped the head off of a bolt that goes into the Land Cruisers frame while installing the longer bumpstops. I cannot get it out after 6 hours of trying and two different broken bolt tools. Does anyone have any ideas or know of a shop that could get it out? I tried a Craftsman broken bolt tool and a extractor tool from McFaddens and neither works.

Can you post a picture of exactly what you're dealing with?

Weld a 8" bar to it and twist! That's how I do it.

Front or rear? Front is an easy fix, I just cut the welds on the nut and put a regular nut in there.

Rear. It is one of the two bolts that goes through the bumpstop through the frame. The bolt head is snapped off and the bolt shaft is still in the frame. It broke up just about 1/8" below the frame. I'll try to get a pic.

Have you tried any sort of penetrating oil before going he-man with your tools?

Bring it by, I'll tack weld a piece of steel to it and twist it out.

I fire up the welder when I get that problem. I just weld a spare nut to it and take it off with a socket wrench.
