I've heard rumors of people swapping in a TH400 I think if memory serves me right but in the tacoma's with the 2WD 3.4L, is there options available for beefing up the auto transmissions? Obviously coolers are #1 but beyond that, what are people doing to help keep them alive under extreme abuse? Are manual shift bodies available for them? Any ideas?
Thanks |

I have heard of people running the Royal purple stuff in their built rides as far as imports go. It's quite expensive though at like $40 bucks a quart.

I also read on a forum somewhere that a guy sent his torque converter out to get reflashed and fixed up.

IPT does the whole shebang, either just VB, VB and torque converter, or full rebuild (modifies all the internals).
You can spend anywhere from $500 - $5000 depending on how much "beef" you need! |
