Default Anyone know anyone that does SAS Anymore ? I have a 2012 that needs to be done.....

Hey all,

I want to SAS my 2012 Tacoma, but I am finding most of the places that used to do it are either out of business or just don't do newer Tacoma's.

Can anyone refer me to a good place that can handle this task? I will be located in CA, so someplace Northern or Southern prefer....

You shipping there and back just for SAS? Lemme hack on that new truck of yours. Then I'll be ready for my 2000 SAS(if someone else pays)

For real: Ever considered doing it here? I'll help for free...

I know All-Pro sells a "kit" that isn't officially released that they've installed on the FJ's & a few Tacoma's (BC_Tacoma has it on his truck) that's something you could do more or less over there

Frankly, unless you are made out of money you are SOL with a '12. There have been so many electronic changes over the last 2yrs that I'm not even sure it can be done short of gutting the whole thing. Get with Wyatt as he is THE most knowledgeable one on the subject of swapping the '05+ Tacomas.

Even the '05s had issues that took years to solve and they don't have nearly the crap the the '12s have.
Best-case, you are looking at $20k.

getting all the electronics figured out will be the biggest headache. cutting things off and welding new stuff on is the easy part

You might also consider talking with Matt about this as he's done a few now (still finishing another)...at least the earlier models like '06-07. He's in Norcal.

Wyatt will have all the needed info on wiring and computer tweeks that you will need.

It took me 105 hours to get the axle hung in the front of that blue DC Taco. But I have learned a couple things since...

Just spend the money on an imported older HiLux...

SAS are for stupid Jeep's that cannot haul crap off-road...

Damn, can I have a job doing what you are doing?

I bet someone would be willing to let you fly them to Hawaii to work on your truck just for some cash and a vacation.

Ya i though of that, however I live on kauai, we have nothing here, it would be very hard t oget parts if something is needed.. I would never SAS a truck out here, if something broke i would be screwed for parts for at least a week, vs the next day over in Sac

Not too many auto parts stores eh? Yeah I've only been to Maui, so I don't know what you have available there. There are extensive SAS parts lists on here, so there really shouldn't be anything that is too unexpected. Well, maybe since your truck is so new. Put a snorkel on it and drive to one of the other islands that has more parts available

LOL too funny.... Na SAS'ing it in hawaii would be a wasit of money. I really want to go wheeling with the TTORA members again, I miss everyone... I know that sounds lame, but just want to go do some real wheeling

also, if none of you already looked, check out my youtube www.youtube.com/wizzard005

enjoy!

Good idea. Maybe Wyatt wants a working vacation to Kauai. My truck will have to be an IOU though. Maybe I could sweep his shop and wash his car till I die

With all that $ I would have a kick ass shop and build my own truck.

Personally I wouldn't be proud to show off a " i make so much money, where is the oil filter Build"

I would say fuck the Taco and pick up a Sniper Fab .223 Chassis, and start with that........

Are you wheeling this thing? Or just going for the highest truck with the widest tires look?
